Aims of the Friends

The group of friends was formed in 2007 with the aim of helping the wardens maintain the beautiful park to a high standard, so that visitors from near and far can get more enjoyment from the park and the facilities available.

We do all we can to keep the park a lovely place to visit frequently, but also we endeavour to enjoy ourselves whilst doing so.

You will see from our Programme page, that we meet up as a group several times during the year to coppice trees and bushes in the Spring, to rake hay in the Autumn and to help run a late Summer Fayre. We meet socially for a BBQ in the Summer and after working days for refreshments in the Kingfisher Lodge.
